Grandview2
Juneteenth on Grandview 2
Another Twisted Vision Co. and PGEntLLC collaboration.
The purpose of this event is to provide a relaxing, uplifting time for the community to come together. We want to highlight our Black entrepreneurs but also welcome others to join us in our celebration of Freedom through arts and music. We feel as though even though this date represents the day that all slaves were aware of their freedom, our goal is to elevate our spirits from the slave mentality as a whole. No matter who you are, where you come from, you can fall victim to the system or matrix and have to change your perception to acknowledge the chains that have kept us all at a low vibrational level as a society. It's time for us to rise above what we have been given and expand our minds, hearts, and souls to experience the TRUE freedom that we all desire.
We will be celebrating freedom through expression, authenticity, genuinity, unity, love, gratitude, and prosperity.
We will be highlighting our Black artists but are welcoming others to participate!
With a more inclusive approach, we believe that we can come together, educate and appreciate each other through the hurt of our past without living it and to better our future so that we can accomplish our goals of changing the world together. It starts with us.
We are ONE.

Renaissane Act
Renaissance Act I
This year’s Juneteenth project is Act I of a three act series that captures critical aspects of the Black experience in America and explores the collective beauty of our melanin. For Act I, we decided to explore the essence Black Hairstyling, Ghetto University, & Afro-Victorian & Afro-Renaissance.
Black Hairstyling explores the range of our people’s hairstyling and protecting our hair.
Ghetto University was inspired by a Kanye lyric, but nonetheless there is a deeper meaning and purpose.
A plethora of aspects of Black culture and attire is called “ghetto” and Black women without a doubt receive the brunt of this. Our people’s heavy jewelry, hairstyles, long nails, & tattoos are called ghetto. So, I decided to uplift these aspects of our culture and showcase them as unapologetically beautiful.
Afro-Victorian & Afro-Renaissance explore what our people would look like placed into the Victorian & Renaissance aesthetic.

Also, it is a nice peaceful, therapeutic and creative experience to start off Father's Day for all ages. While the guys do their thing, the women can participate in art, ear wax candle therapy and or brunch. We are here for you. Let's Release and Heal together. Transaction
The Transaction Photo Exhibit
A transaction can be defined as the communicative action or activity involving two parties or things that reciprocally affect or influence each other. This truth can be said in relation to the African-American experience for the last 400 years of oppression. However, the involuntary transaction that our ancestors were forced to partake in is only a fraction of the inspiration for this project. This project highlights the eclectic range of the Black experience in America. While our people have an extremely violent and ugly past and present in this country, there is still a collective sense of peace, tranquility, and beauty that our people have experienced, are experiencing, and will continue to experience for generations to come. The dichotomy of the two truths while being Black in America is one that must be discussed for it is our Transaction.
